The goal of any for-profit business is to maximize earnings while minimizing costs. In any business, large or small, installing solar panels on a building’s exterior will help reduce overhead by eliminating a large portion of your electricity needs. Between savings on utility bills and state government incentives, outfitting your business to use solar energy is an investment that is sure to provide sizable returns.
Whether you are a small, local startup or an international corporation, your company’s image plays an enormous role in creating and maintaining a loyal client base. Recently, consumers have become more environmentally aware and look for organizations that share their enthusiasm for eco-friendliness. By going green and installing solar panels, your business will present itself as environmentally responsible. The energy savings coupled with the new business acquired by promoting green practices make solar energy a fantastic business tool.
If your business runs solely off of the electricity provided by your city’s grid, then your operations are vulnerable to the conditions of hanging wires and various transformers. If you outfit your place of business with solar panels, then you’ll have some flow of energy during the day regardless of outside circumstances. If properly installed, solar panels can also help safeguard your business against natural disasters as well.

Southern California is known for three things: the beach, sunny weather, and high prices. If you live in Orange County, then you’ve probably heard people talking about the benefits of solar power. To learn more about this fantastic emerging technology, read the following three reasons to equip your Orange County home with solar panels.
1. Savings
Unfortunately, the American economy is in a recession. While not everyone is on the verge of foreclosure and destitution, saving money wherever possible is still very important. By outfitting your home with the latest in solar panel technology, you’ll be able to save a significant amount of money by generating a large portion of your own energy. If you generate more power than you use in a day, then you can actually sell your excess electricity back to the power company and save even more towards your next bills.
2. Eco-Friendliness
While saving money is important in the short-term, what’s even more important is helping the planet survive on the very long-term. Currently, we use fossil fuels and other expendable resources to power our homes. The process of converting these natural substances into workable energy lets off harmful emissions that damage our eco-system. If you equip your Orange County home with solar panels, however, you can minimize your carbon footprint and promote maximum sustainability.
3. Perfect Conditions
Utilizing solar power is a great way to help the environment and save money, but it’s more effective in certain parts of the world than in others. Here in Orange County, however, there’s no excuse to go without solar power, as our region experiences some of the highest levels of solar radiation in the country. By installing solar panels on your home, you’re sure to generate a sizable amount of energy through all seasons. Luckily, in the summer, when energy demand is at its highest, your solar panels will be absorbing the maximum amount of power.
If you’d like to learn more about solar panels and their effectiveness, then call Solagex America at (888) 406-3060. We provide homes in Orange County, and all across America, with the highest quality solar equipment.

Every time you feel the sun’s warmth on your face, you're experiencing one of the most powerful forms of energy in the universe. When properly harnessed and channeled, sunlight can provide us with a limitless source of usable energy.
A Brief Introduction
The science of transforming sunlight into energy is known as photovoltaics. First developed in the 1950s, photovoltaic technologies saw great advances during the space race, when it was used as a convenient power source during space travel. By the end of the 1970s, solar energy had taken a commanding seat on the world’s stage. Today, its usage in homes and business all across the world continues to increase.
How it Works
The devices that capture sunlight and turn it into energy for our use are called PV panels, more commonly known as solar panels. Each panel contains several smaller units known as solar cells. Each cell is composed of semiconductor material, which creates an electric field within the cell. When light hits the cell, electrons become excited and begin moving about quickly, creating an electric current.
Since a single solar cell can create only a small amount of energy, they are grouped together into larger units called modules. Each module usually consists of about 40 cells. The modules are usually grouped into still larger units known as solar arrays. The arrays are often designed to follow the sun on its arc across the sky to capture as much energy as possible.
Modern Incentives
In recent years, the clean and efficient nature of solar energy has sparked renewed efforts to encourage its use, including tax rebates and other governmental incentives. If you are interested in installing solar panels, then contact an installer in your area to ask about their prices.

In California, solar energy is more popular than ever before. Whether it's the ready availability of sunlight—Los Angeles experiences an impressive 147 clear days per year—or a growing interest in clean, renewable energy, the state is rapidly taking the lead in the field of solar technology. About half of all solar installations in the United States are performed in California.
At the start of 2011, so many homeowners in Los Angeles were participating in the city's Solar Incentive Program that the city government had to temporarily suspend the project for lack of funding and resources. As September, the program has launched, giving green-minded California homeowners yet another reason to go solar.
With the new program, the first 700 customers who install solar panels will receive a rebate of $2-2.20 per watt, which adds up to about $10,000 to $11,000 for a full installation. This equates to around 30 percent of the total price of a standard solar system. If you decide to lease a solar system for your business, then you'll receive $1.95 per watt if you're among the first 700 customers. All installations after 700 rebates have been dispensed will receive $1.50 per watt.
Other incentives are available at the state level through the California Solar Initiative, which aims to provide the state with 3,000 MW of solar capacity within the next five years. The rebates vary, depending on the size of your solar panel system. To apply, contact the California Solar Initiative.
New and existing homes can also qualify for a federal tax credit for up to 30 percent of the system's total cost. This credit covers up to $500 per 0.5 kW of solar power capacity. Only primary residences may apply for this program; rented houses and secondary homes are excluded.
When you're ready to install a solar panel, don't take chances: go with an installer you can depend upon for top-notch service. At Solagex America, a solar installer serving the Orange County area, we specialize in installing solar panels for the home and commercial use.
